COVID-19 IN CROATIA

August 14, 2020

Unless you have been living under a rock - or in a very isolated village in Lika - you know that the world is experiencing a historic pandemic. Sadly, Croatia is no exception with 6,050 sick people, 5,078 recovered patients, and 161 total deaths - and the numbers are only growing. Acting responsibly is the best thing that each of us can do to fight this disease and prevent its further spread. So let us remind ourselves of the basics:

  • Keep a safe social distance of about 2 m (about 6,6 feet).
  • Thoroughly wash your hands and use disinfectants.
  • Avoid going to large social gatherings such as concerts, parties, and theatrical performances (although you’ll be hard-pressed to find any).
  • Wear face masks. Please note that you will not be allowed to enter most shops, grocery stores, and public transportation without one!
